Pacifica Outdoors Adventures is committed to enabling several optional salmon fishing methods. We run Scotty electric downriggers, with Shimano rods and single action reels with 30 lb. test line, with either bait (anchovy) , hootchy, plugs, or spoons depending on the salmon’s particular preference.

For the halibut, ling cod and yellow eye (red snapper) we have some heavy weight rods with 150 lb. "tough line" normally jigged with spreader bars and large herring or octopus ( last year we found that strips of the "spiny" toothed flounder worked exceptionally well on large halibut) together with a spear and float to subdue your catch that may weigh well over 100 pounds.
